Get Involved

We believe that Christ died for, instituted, and is head of the church. Therefore, the Association exists to support the local churches of the Association as they seek to fulfill the Great Commission. We also believe that we can do more together through gospel centered cooperation. Below, Pastors and Church Leaders can find out more about the various ways the Association seeks to serve the churches of the Association for the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Pastor's Conference

Pastors from across the Association gather each Monday at 10am in the Association Building for worship, prayer, encouragement from the Word of God and fellowship with each other. Pre-registration is not required. For more information, contact current Pastor's Conference President, Rev. Mark Tice.

Ministry Equipping

The Association seeks to maximize resources from the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and in-house expertise in order to provide practical and effective training across multiple ministries.

In addition, Church Revitalization cohorts meet regularly. For more information, contact Dennis Thurman at the HBA Office.

Community
Missions

Through various mission initiatives, churches of the Association come together throughout the year to reach our community with the good news of Jesus Christ. Community Missions also includes the work of Baptists on Mission (Baptist Men) who meet the needs of those needing handicap accessible ramps throughout our communities. For more information, contact Dennis Thurman at the HBA Office.

New England Baptist Church Planting

The Association entered into a strategic church planting initiative with the Baptist Convention of New England in 2019 with the aim of serving various church planters in the region through prayer and short term missions. It is our prayer to plant new churches in the New England region through the cooperative sending of the churches of our Association. For more information, contact

Dennis Thurman at the HBA Office.

HAYWOOD BAPTISTS TOGETHER IN THE GREAT COMMISSION.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV)
