It is hard to believe that I will begin my fourth year serving Haywood Baptist Association as your Mission Strategist on New Year's Day. Time flies when you're having fun! The past three years have been a joy--and a blur. But, that's life, isn't it? When you are a child, it seems like forever until Christmas arrives. Now, I scarcely get the decorations put away until it is time to get them out again!
2024 brings new opportunities. There will be challenges--this world will see to that. There will be crises--the Devil will see to that. But, there will be blessings and successes--the Lord will see to that! By, the way, in His providence, He permits what we consider bad and in His sovereignty works it for good--so come what may, He gets glory!
So, if things seem gloomy today--with problems mounting and pain increasing--or if you are walking in sunlight--experiencing great fruitfulness and fullness, God is on the throne and does all things well! Opportunities will abound this year. Carpe diem--seize the day!
