ARE YOU BEING SERVED?

A popular British comedy ran for 13 years called, "Are You Being Served?" It featured an ensemble cast with the storylines built around working in a large department store. Hence, the customer service question, "Are you being served?"
It is a question I pose to you concerning Haywood Baptist Association. We want our churches to be served. We exist for the churches, instead of the churches existing for us. There is a need for giving to the ministry here, but we want you to see it as an investment that will pay dividends to your church, and the furtherance of the Eternal Kingdom of God.
In particular, I want to add value to our churches. Having been in Baptist life as a pastor for almost half a century there are few things I have not experienced--both in the possibilities and problems that churches face.
Here are a few things I can do for you:
Supply Pastor--filling in when the pastor must be out
Intentional Interim--helping the church move ahead while they search for a new pastor
A Stewardship Campaign or Capital Fund-raising
Sunday School Workshop
Discipleship Training
Deacon Training
Evangelism Training
Leadership Development
First Impressions Enhancement
Spiritual Gifts
Conflict Resolution
Prophecy Conference
Marriage Conference
Family Workshop
Bible Book Studies
Mission Studies
Revivals
Lead Mission Trips
Church Revitalization
Developing Prayer Ministries
Doctrine Studies
If you do not have a lot of money for an honorarium, that is no problem (though your gifts are always appreciated). I am here to serve. Your church is helping support me through your giving to the Association.
None of us know how many years we have left. I am pretty sure I am headed down the homestretch and racing toward the finish line. My prayer is to finish well! Are you being served? Let me know what I can do for you!
In His Service,
Dennis Thurman, Mission Strategist
