GLOBAL CONNECTION AND THE GREAT COMMISSION

It is easier to reach the world with the Gospel than ever before. Can you imagine if the Apostle Paul had access to jet airliners? We do. Yet, there is another means of ministry that is even farther reaching--as well, as quicker and cheaper! Through the World Wide Web we can connect globally with the click of a button.
A few weeks ago I was contacted on Facebook by a pastor from India. He wanted to gather a group of pastors who were hungry to grow and learn, but had little opportunity. Manoj Tandi had read some of my Bible lessons and thought I could help them.
So, last Wednesday night at 11:30, (9:00 AM Thursday their time), I did a live video stream where I shared with some thirty pastors who had gathered to study. I taught from 1 Timothy 3 on, "The Pastor You Ought to Be." Manoj translated the message as I spoke. It was well received and the men would like to have me lead a study on a regular basis.
These pastors need to be nourished, literally--some journey a good distance and the cost of travel for them is a burden. So, I gave money to buy the food and help with the cost of their trip. Now, I am stepping out in faith as I schedule another study in September. Would you consider partnering with me? If you could give something toward this, make it out to Haywood Baptist Association, and designate it as INDIA.
Please pray for this exciting opportunity to make and multiply disciples in India. We can encourage these pastors who are on the frontlines of evangelism--in an area that can be difficult and even dangerous.
Yours for the Gospel,
Dennis Thurman, AMS
