Pastor, would you like to see your church experience its highest potential in outreach to your community. Even if you are a bi-vocational pastor with very limited time and energy to give to your church, you can be intentional about leading your church to reach your community. With your church in mind, Reaching Your Community Like a Missionary has been developed to give you the resources to realistically engage your community with the supernatural power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The greatest need in our community is for people to walk in a dynamic relationship with God and that can only happen through faith in Jesus Christ and involvement in a family of faith. Over the course of six months, we will meet once a month to walk through the Six Components of the Missionary Task which was developed by the International Mission Board of the SBC and adapted to the local community in your area.
We will consider the components of Entry, Evangelism, Discipleship, Church Formation, Leadership Training and Missions Mobilization. As we consider each of these areas of the mission of the church, numerous resources will be introduced so that you can tailor make your strategy to your passions, giftedness and the unique personality and makeup of your church.
