TEMPORAL SECURITY

Baptists are familiar with the Biblical doctrine of eternal security. But, what about the practical matter of temporal security? Satan not only attacks in the realm of the spiritual, but uses his minions to assault believers physically. National news headlines were made recently when a church was invaded by a mob of protesters. How would your church respond if this happened Sunday morning?
Be prepared. That was the motto I learned in Boy Scouts many years ago. It is applicable in this context. To fail to plan is to plan to fail--and that could prove catastrophic. How do you balance being a loving church of an open door that receives strangers with open hearts and open arms and yet be a church that lovingly protects the flock from wolves?
There have been several of our churches that have had people show up in the parking lot during service and stuff a page of false teaching under the windshield wipers of cars. Recently, a man behaving strangely came into a local church. I will be sending out more details to our pastors about this individual so as to be prepared.
As we move toward the end of the age, we are likely to see more overt hostility and demonic activity than we have previously known in America. So, we best be prayed up and dressed in the armor of God. Having a trained security team would be smart. Here is a helpful link:
