WHAT A FELLOWSHIP!

What is “fellowship” anyway? Think of two fellows in a ship. Where one goes, the other does. If it rains on one, both get wet. Should the sun shine on one, it warms the other also. They are together—all the way. Concerning the Christian faith, it is about being on the old Gospel ship—all hands on deck! We are going to the same harbor called Heaven, and it makes the trip better together.
Regularly, we need to meet in community. Scripture demands, ““And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching,” (Heb. 10:24-25 NKJV).
Occasionally, we also need to meet together as churches. I mean, when we all get to Heaven we will all be together for all eternity, so why not get a preview now? That is why we started 5th Sunday night services among our Haywood Baptist Association churches. These have been a blessing to all those who have participated and we pray the next one will continue to stir us as the people of God.
August 30 will find us at Woodland Baptist. A community choir will convene for practice beginning at 5 PM. If you want to sing, you are invited. Then, the worship service starts at 6. Dr. Nick Smith will bring us a challenging Word from God. Come on out and bring someone with you!
Yours for Fellowship.
