I'm not getting any younger. Neither are our churches. While new churches--we have one--and younger ones--we have a few--are of vital importance, we may tend to neglect older churches, which older people often attend. Not only has the church aged but so have the individual members. The buzz is often about the younger, growing church. Thank God for them. Yet, let us also encourage those churches comprised of folks who look like me. Here is an article that is a good reminder.
So, let me say that I value all of our churches. We want to help fuel the growth of our younger congregations and also support the mission and ministry of our older ones--and everyone in between.
