LIVING SENT

Jesus said, “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” Christ came on a mission of redemption—to seek and save the lost. Now, His people are to live as those sent in seeking the lost and sharing the saving message. That is why the theme of this year’s North Carolina Mission Offering is, “Living Sent.” Here are some thoughts from an article on the NC Baptist State Convention website:

I was blessed this summer to share awards with the three of our Association’s churches as top giving churches to last year’s NC Mission Offering: Crabtree, Oak Grove, and Green Valley. None of these are large churches, but they all have a big heart for missions. Green Valley is the smallest in attendance of the three, yet they not only led the Association, they were #68 in the state! Imagine out of nearly 4000 churches, Green Valley ranked that high, as they gave nearly $7000. Thank God for their generous spirit!
