AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE ENCOURAGED

Who would want to miss an opportunity to be encouraged? Yet, if we neglect gathering with the people of God to offer the worship of God, we will miss out on an opportunity to be encouraged from the Word of God! The Scripture warns us about, "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching," (Heb. 10:25 NKJV).
These are challenging times, and likely to become more so, as we head toward the Day of Christ's return. It will be easy to slip away from the assembly of the saints and become complacent, then comfortable in the world, and finally conforming to the world. That path leads only downward.
I want to invite you to join with other Haywood Baptists for a time of encouragement on Sunday evening, March 29. Clyde First Baptist Church has graciously offered to host the meeting. A joint choir rehearsal will begin at 5 with worship following at 6. Pastor John Swanger of Calvary Road will bring us the message. Please join us!
Maybe you have all the encouragement you need, but I doubt it. Praying TOGETHER, singing TOGETHER, hearing God's Word TOGETHER is a proven way to prepare for the challenges a new week will bring.
The Devil will tell you, "You don't need that. You're too tired. It won't make a difference." He will say that or suggest some other excuse. He is a liar!
I look forward to seeing you in a few days. Invite others to come!
Yours in Worshipping Him,
Dennis Thurman, Mission Strategist
