COME APART

Jesus said to His disciples, "Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat," (Mark 6:31 KJV). I heard an old preacher say, "You can come apart or you will come apart!" A good pastor will pour out God's message and ministry to the members. Yet, his energy can be drained and his productivity diminshed if he does not take time to rest physically and be refreshed spiritually.

In a crisis, the adrenalin kicks in and you can exceed your normal level of effort. But, when that adrenalin rush is over, you must be wary of the potential to crash and burn.
