OFF TO A GREAT START

Updated: May 29

When I became a pastor at the age of 22, I had some significant help. I had been a student at Fruitland for a year. Both my Student Pastor and my brother-in-law who was also a pastor helped mentor me. It made a difference.

Do you realize that hundreds of our NC Baptist churches are without pastors? God used other men of God to confront me to the possibility that God might be calling me and then confirmed me in that call. Is that part of our preaching? It needs to be.

Among pastors who are young (that might be in age or in experience) getting off to a great start is vital.

That is where "Blueprint for Faithful Ministry" comes in. This is a practical training program that has come to our mountain churches. One of our Haywood pastors, Nick Smith of Lake Junaluska First Baptist, is leading this.

If you want to sign up, a discount is being offered. You can do so for only $100. The meetings begin in August, and space is limited--so do not delay!

Yours for Calling Out the Called,
