PRAYER FLARE

Flares are often fired into the sky to indicate an emergency on the ground. We have a spiritual crisis in America today that calls for a flare of prayer to be sent to the Lord! It is not that He needs information. God is well aware and I believe is already judging this land--perhaps a trickle now, but soon to become a torrent, if we do not repent. We need to pray as our confession--an admission of our sin and humble acknowledgment before God that we need His intervention in grace and mercy.

Thursday is designated "The National Day of Prayer." There are at least three area prayer gatherings that I am aware of: Lake Junaluska at 10 AM; Haywood County Courthouse yard in Waynesville at Noon; and Clyde First Baptist Church at 6 PM. In addition, FBC Lake Junaluska is having a "Prayer Revival Week," that kicks off with a Sunday night service on May 19 at 6:30 PM.

Pray like there is no tomorrow--because without a move of God that may soon be true!

Your Prayer Partner,

Dennis Thurman, AMS
